Jiménez Duarte Asociados was founded around an uncomfortable question: why do companies with access to good legal and tax advisors still make poor decisions?

The answer, after years in leading firms and top universities, was clear: the traditional model solves problems in silos. The tax specialist sees taxes. The lawyer sees contracts. Nobody sees the full business picture.

That is what we set out to change.

We founded JDA on the conviction that a company or business family does not need more isolated specialists — it needs a partner who simultaneously understands tax risk, corporate structure, cash flow impact, and strategic direction. One that says what needs to be said, not what is easiest to hear.

We built an interdisciplinary team around that philosophy: technically rigorous, commercially aware, and genuinely committed to each client’s growth. We do not work for projects. We work for relationships.

The results have followed naturally. From our early years we positioned ourselves among the leading firms in Colombia, with recognition from ITR World Tax and Leaders League, and more than 220 clients including top-tier multinationals. But what we are most proud of is not the ranking — it is that our clients make better decisions because we are close to them.
